Catalog (or 'Catalogue' to use the UK English spelling) refers to the range of assets stored within a repository (such as a DAM system). Conventionally, this would only include digital files which have had descriptive metadata applied to them via the cataloguing process (and which have become digital assets as a result). Where workflow is involved, assets that have not yet been approved may or may not be considered as included within a catalog.

Some uses are less restrictive and depending on context, catalog can refer to any asset (digital or otherwise) held inside a repository.
